Judges are given guidelines to help narrow down the winners of the Yard of the Month and Waterwise Yard of the Month. Judging starts in May for the June awards and continues through the end of July for the August awards.
Judges are the first point of contact for the award winners, helping staff to invite the winners to the monthly recognition at a City Council meeting.
Judges are not eligible to win an award, even if they do not live in their judging area.

As a Judge you will walk or drive around your assigned area to find one traditional Yard of the Month and one Waterwise Yard of the Month. Each judge will get a packet with instructions and fliers to use when notifying the winning homes. The judges also help to drop off and pick up the yard signs each month.
