Thank you for your interest in joining a 29 year tradition to help keep Northglenn and Thornton beautiful by volunteering for our cleanup along the canal! With your help, over 30 miles of Greenway Trails, riverbeds, and walkways are impacted as we head into spring and summer. See clips from the 2024 cleanup below!
Cleanup Details
Saturday, March 21, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Weather Reschedule (if needed): Saturday, March 28, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Our trails, parks, and canal are divided into 22 areas that are supported by individual groups. On the day of the cleanup, team leaders for each area will meet staff at city hall to pick up necessary supplies for their area. Volunteers will then meet with their team leader at their assigned area at 9:00 a.m. Following the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to lunch at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park.
Team leaders can be chosen by group members if a group is signing up together, however, we also need team leaders for groups made up by individual residents. When you sign up, please indicate if you are willing to be a team leader.
Review the interactive map below to determine your preferred area. Click on the colored area to see the designated area number, then SCROLL DOWN past the map to check the opportunity list to see which areas are still available, then sign up for the event.
