Opportunities From: City of Northglenn

Volunteer: Snow Stormer - 25-26 Season

Help shovel snow for residents in need this snow season!

The Snow Stormers program is looking for volunteers to shovel snow for neighbors. You can help out before or after work - as long as the sidewalk is cleared at least 48 hours after the snow ends.

Volunteers are paired with residents for the entire snow season and can determine the number of homes they are willing to support.

Volunteers are assigned to either the next resident at the top of the waitlist no matter the location, if willing to travel, or the next resident on either the East or West side of I-25, based on the volunteer's home location.

Respond to this opportunity to indicate your interest, and staff will follow up to pair you with the resident(s) in need.

All new volunteers receive a beanie!

Volunteer: 1st Saturday Birding (Summer) - Group Support Volunteer

1st Saturday Birding events allow the public to come and learn the joy of looking for and noticing the variety of birds that reside or migrate through Northglenn.

This program is run by our Park Rangers, and they need support helping the public with their binoculars, pointing out different birds when there are large groups, and generally providing an extra set of hands to make the events run smoothly.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We just ask you're willing to learn more about birding and have a heart for service for your community!

Accessibility Note: While the area is technically considered ADA compliant, it is generally best suited for individuals using electric wheelchairs. We’ve seen some people using walkers have difficulty navigating the path. If you have anyone with mobility concerns, please know that the route is flat, but it is not a concrete surface.
